Hey all,

I recently acquired a black 08 SR5 and am just looking to do a simple mod. I've always been interested in the yellow fog lights but just want some opinions before I go foward with it.

I don't really see many yellow fogs w/ stock halogen lights, at least not where I'm from, but more with HIDs. Since I haven't gotten around to the HID conversion yet, would yellow fogs look tacky with stock halogens or no? Pictures would be appreciated :)

If I do go ahead with this, which brand would be best? As far as I have read from members on this forum, the choice is either the Hella Optilux Extreme Yellow XY or the Luminics JDM Yellow.

Thanks for the input.

thanks for the reply guys, guess I didn't do enough research haha.

How do you think they'll look with the regular stock halogen headlights?

lawwailok - you've got the Hoen Endurance Yellow 9006 55w ones right? I just want to make sure. From what I read, installation was pretty much twist out the old, twist in the new?

that looks pretty nice, definately what I'm going for.
Thanks! :bigok:

btw, do you know where the thread about aiming the fog lights is at? I thought I saw one on here, but can't seem to find it.

i don't. but i think the stock height of the fog light is good for me. unless the 4R is lifted, i don't think you need to adjust them lower or higher.

I'm running the Hella Optilux Extreme Yellow in both my '08 4Runner and my '07 Mustang GT. Although I can't atest to how they, inparticular, function in really poor dark conditions (as I've yet to drive either vehicle uncer those conditions), I CAN say that their predecessor, the Hella Yellowstars, in my '00 4Runner made a huge difference over the stock bulbs. The Yellowstars provided excellent contrast in dense fog and dark, rainy nights. I expect the same or better from the Optilux.

nokya hyper yellow bulbs are pretty cheap on ebay, under 25 bucks and u get a decent yellow bulb, ortherwise go hid.
