:cool:Has anyone attempted to add a Set of super powerful fog lights off a newer truck on to a 3rd gen in the lower grill of the 99+ bumper?

My friend has a lifted 2007 Ram, and he doesn't even turn his main headlights on at night because his fogs are so freakishly bright. It looks very badass must i add. And driving at night is like day when they are all on.

Has anyone thought of adding these fogs in that lower grill in the bumper? If so, Has anyone tried it?

And lastly, I Would love pics of fog light setups on 3rd gens that use clever placement..

DANKE!!

It's a 98, but you could do something similar with yours........

Check out my build thread here, for a how to:

I like!

That looks really clean. Maybe i Could use aftermarket housings but modify them for a set of big boy headlight bulbs. Ill have to look into both options i suppose.

How is the light output?

Pretty decent.....coupled with my headlights they light up the road and surrounding area's pretty well.....but they are just Cheap-eez....got them for free with my Westin Safari Light bar (the one I no longer have).......

Have you considered adding a "pre-runner" bar?

You can probably get one Fabbed and installed for < $150

The bar is permanently mounted to your stock bumper and will look and hold up 1000x better than just drilling the lights to the bumper.

Here are a few pictures of my old one:

RE: Lights

As far as fog lights go, I have been nothing but happy with my PIAA 520s. At $225 they are not cheap but I have had the same set running for 5 years now. Previously I had $100 Hella lights but I like the PIAAs better.

The main ideas for this are that I'm looking for cheap, effective, clean, and subtle mod that's original. Light bar is a no go for me. I just don't think it's a match for my car. I am really aiming at a used, "headlamp bright" foglight retrofit here. Maybe even aftermarket black housing replacements for newer vehicles that could hide throughout the day, but light the road up in the night.

How much power is wired to the fog lights from the factory?
:thanks:
