so im looking to mount lights like has on his car. a set of piaa 520 smr drivin on top of the bumper, and 520 ion crystal fogs on either side of the license plate.

any idea of a good way to mount this, or if there is some sort of mounting hardware on the market, that isnt a bull bar or brush guard, and doesnt involve drilling into the bumper?

orrr .... rdgt4r, how did you mount yours. you didnt respond to my pm so i figured i would call you out :p

thanks again everyone!

so you physically mounted them to the bumper for the top, and the bottom you cut out the bumper to recess the lights, and mounted them to the frame.

did you have to make any brackets for the bottom lights or was it the mounting hardware that it came with?

and mike, get a set of hella black magics for behind your grill so you wont see the lights at all until they are on

oh, and how is your light output? is it incredible in your opinion or would you recommend some other lights. i would like to do 520 smr drivings for the top and 520 ion fogs for the bottom

Finally got around to researching the black magics... they are a whopping 8" tall, no way they will fit behind the grill. That's why I like the FF75's form factor, wide and short, so they will fit well.

yeah i mounted the bottom ones straight to the frame and i wouldnt recomend mounting the top ones like i did they dont have much stability. i didnt have to make any brackets just had to go buy longer bolts to make it through the frame. and the light output is good not like aircraft landing lights but they undoubtedly help out .

do police give you much slack for not having a front plate up there? I see tons of cars without them, but my last car was a camaro and I didn't even have the bracket for it. Got pulled over all the time for it. :-(

lol plus its stuck in a snow bank somewhere on my friends property ill wait until spring to try and find it.
