Foglight screws totally stripped out--how to remove?

I attempted to remove the 3 screws on the foglight housing last night to replace the bulb, but the metal in the screws was so soft and/or corroded that the phillips slots got stripped completely out with 3 turns of a screw driver. Soooo. . .how do I remove these screws now? And has anyone else run into this annoying, annoying problem? As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated.

If you use a dremel tool to cut a notch in the top of the screws, you can carefully use a flat-head screwdriver to remove them.
