Footwell Lighting... Anyone done this

I'm a new 4Runner owner. I bought an 08 Limited and have seen what some of you have done to yours and damn! I want that. I was really surprised to find how dark the interior is at night so I want to wire lighting in the foot well areas that will come on when the door is open just like the dome. Can someone tell me the right way to this?

No but I have thought of it , but I want to hook it up to the lights so it would light it up inside. It's dark in there. I think it's hard to get the matching amber.

I'm going to have a bunch of interior lighting mods done in the near future...Maplight mod, Led dome/door/map lights, front and rear footwells with three way switch that activate with and without the domes and keep the 15 minute autoshutoff feature, puddle lighting, underhood lighting, cargo lighting. I've decided on white lighting right now but need to choose the actual led units to be used. Full write ups will be forthcoming... just need to find the time
