Footwell Lights not working

So I shorted out my footwell lights while I was trying to take them out. I was hoping to remove the very dim single LED and install a slightly brighter LED. I saw the small spark (no I didn't disconnect the battery) and thought that I could find the blown fuse. I've checked very single fuse multiple times, and none are blown. Everything else still works, but the two footwell lights are out.

Any advice on how to fix them? What did I mess up if not a fuse? I've used a multimeter to check and see if any current is flowing to the lights, and none is. I've disconnected the battery hoping it would reset something, but that didn't help either.

my footwell lights.. - regional addon at port i believe. has a inline fuse by the parking brake area, under the fusebox area.

I'll check that out, but I don't have any reason to believe that these were an add-on.

Anyone else? Am I the only person to ever blow these things? How could I fry the circuit without popping a fuse?

Lesson learned: from now on I'll disconnect the battery.
