For those that have painted wheels...

How are they holding up...how long has it been since you painted the rims...are you glad you painted your rims....fill those of us in that are still pondering the thought of the DIY in the driveway.

Painted mine oct 08. The only chipping going on is where the lug nuts contact the rim. They still look great, and I'm thinking about painting mine charcoal (black right now), but not sure how charcoal would look on white. I used the duplicolor wheel paint stuff at autozone.

I got mine powdercoated a year and a half ago. They hold up just fine. I drive through mud, snow, and sand a lot too. No chips or anything on the wheels...surprisingly. Although when you get new tires, the machine the tire place uses to remove the wheel from the tire will scratch the inside bevel of the rim, not a big deal. Not noticable. It's not on the visible part of the rim.

I say pow pow coat for sure!
