For those that have the sport bumper...

What exactly is it made of? It almost looks plastic on the Partznet.com website. Is it metal or plastic? Does it rub against the bumper itself or does it hover in front of it. I was thinking about getting one but for $400 piece of plactic I am unsure if I can justify it. But they look so great. Any info is appreciated.

Mine had one on it when I bought my 4runner. I understand it is just plastic, it does not touch the bumper except where it attaches (the black part). It looks good on the SE with the hood scoop. I'm sure if I hit anything with it well you know what will happen.

Wow! I can't believe a piece of plastic is $500. Jeas, I guess then I will definately have to look into it a little further and decide if I want it bad enough. It would look great on my 05 Black SE but I am unsure if its worth the price of a car payment though...
