I think the biggest problem you will find is that most of the people in the "no" category are trying to justify not buying a Sport Edition rather than having a Sport Edition, and wishing they didn't have the scoop on it.

Man, I'd like to do the same also. I have an 07 SR5 titanium metallic that I got because of the 3rd row seats that I wanted. But I would love to swap out the hood for one with a scoop. I live in FL and if anyone wants to do a swap also, let me know.

I think a lot of us are in that position, the scoop gives it an aggressive look that other SUV's do not have. Mine is an 03 Limited in Dorado Gold and I'm about 90% positive that they only made SR5's and Limited's in that color. I'd have to paint to match, and I've never seen a truly good match for a color other than white or black. Even then it just looks different

After owning a 2nd gen and 3rd gen (both SR5's) over the past 19 years, my 4th gen is a Sport MAINLY because I like the scoop, fake or not.

+1 here. I like the Sport because of the scoop. I see a lot of Runners out there without them, and it just looks plain jane to me. Plus the sport seems to have a better package of options to fit my coinage.
