For those who have Bridgestone Duellers

Who here has 265/65/17 Bridgestone Duellers HT installed? What are your experiences, suggestions, etc with these tires?

Get the Dueler HL. They are much better in snow.

Who here has 265/65/17 Bridgestone Duellers HT installed? What are your experiences, suggestions, etc with these tires?

My Duellers are used in Spring/Summer/Fall. Have no problems with them. I have a set of Blizzaks mounted on Tundra steel wheels for winter use.
Prior to getting the Blizzaks I found the Duellers were not the best tire solution for me in snow. The tires are too wide and lacked bite when turning.
Do not have that problem with the Blizzaks.

The way both sets of tires are wearing it looks like they may wear out about the same time in a few years. If/when that happens I may go shopping for a single tire solution that fits my year round needs.

My 2WD Runner came with the Dueller H/T (D840) when bought in Hawaii. I used it in Guam for 3 years. Great in DRY road like all tires are. Moved to Washington and learned the hard way. They SUCK in the slightest snow, rain soaked road and road with slight gravel. Got stuck in a (thin) snow covered Canadian parking lot. Embarassing. Getting replacement tires next month.
