I put an OME lift and 275 tires on my 2012 SR5. Definitely feels stiffer and I would say mushy nose dive has been completely eliminated. I don't have a bull bar or aftermarket bumper.

This is a very subjective question. I understand you're trying to guide yourself as to what vehicle you'd like to purchase. My recommendation is to friend someone with a lifted fj or 4r and go for a ride. In fact, you may be able to find a used one and take it for a test drive. I'm sure there are plenty of 4r owners near you that wouldn't mind taking you for a spin for a coffee or six pack.
