ok, before i start... i searched for an hour on this topic...but didnt get the answer i was looking for.

details-

i have a 97 4runner 4x4 with 85k on it.
i plan on buying a complete OME setup (shocks/springs for front and back)

i am planning a cross country road trip for next spring that will last approx. 1yr. currently i do 90% highway driving. The goal for this setup is to make the road trip comfortable and also allow me to do some trails and camping out west.

ok, to my question.

i dont plan on putting on any bumpers. i am building a storage drawer system for the back (150lbs approx i imagine)

there is a slim chance ill add a winch with a small bull bar to the front.

so, what ome setup (thinking med 882/890 and normal shocks) will work well for 150-200 lbs in the back constantly and maybe no more that 70lbs upfront...if any?!

thanks ahead of time!

881s in front, 906s in rear, nice level 2-2.5" lift, check out my recent threads.

saw your recent threads.. and your 4runner looks great, but im asking specifically for those that have permanent weight in the back (like the storage drawers i am building) and do a bit mroe off roading.

thanks for the sexy pics tho, hope mine turns out as nice as yours!

If you are going to have some cargo drawers in the back then go with the heavy duty springs. From talking with CSL and Glenyoshida, if you go with anything other than the stiffer springs your rear end is going to be saggy. I'm not sure what all you're planning on taking on your trip, but if i was to take a long trip like that I'd be pretty weighed down. Go with the stiffer ones. Not sure of the number on those... but dont get the light or medium ones unless you want to be sagging in the rear.

x2. The weight adds up really quick and with a cargo I'd say it's a no brainer to go with the 891s in the rear.

x3 on the 891 and if I were you id try to find a set of coilovers for sale for the front. that way if you added a wonch you ould just tork them up a little to compensate for the added weight.
