Just saw this post...

My dad is getting a new position for work in Ft. Worth area and wondering if its worth taking his 06 runner out there? Any wheeling to be done? I anticipated him staying in Denver area so we built it up for CO trails and Moab.

Could have been me. I've got an '02 and I live downtown. Its been on muddy Oklahoma backroads this week. Its not built up or anything. Just silver, limited, and muddy with Sequoia wheels.

It may have been you. I was driving down north beach street. Yea fort worth is great. There are areas around here to take it off road. It's Texas!

Well, I've only lived in Fort Worth about a year. I moved here from Shreveport, LA. I do know of a spot thats in between the two that has some great rock crawling. Its called Barnwell Mountain. Its just north of Tyler. I used to take my Jeeps out there for some serious rockcrawling! I'm sure there are other places closer though. I see to many built rockcrawlers for there not to be!

And Jaynhunt, you're right on the money! I absolutely love Fort Worth! I live in the middle of downtown, across the street from Sundance Square. Wish I would've moved here sooner!

My buddy Steve lives in the tower downtown at sun dance square. We will have to get together and take them out and get dirty sometime. I live off beach in fort worth. Moving in the next few weeks but staying local. Tyler isn't too far. I used to take my jeep out off 183 and trinity there is some off road areas there. Used to miss the jeep until I got the t4r. No comparison on ride. I had this thing deep in mud yesterday and my boys and fiancé were scared to death lol but a little rocking and we were out. Got to love the 4x4 on these.

Ha, that's where I live! I've been there right at a year now. Absolutely love it there!
