Fortuner TRD Sportivo - Design Style Wrap

Pardon my crappy photo shop skills. Wanted to throw this by some folks to see what they think.

I was getting bored with my silver 4runner color and was thinking about ways to change it a little. I noticed in the Philippines recently the new Fortuner styles and was very very impressed with the way it looked. The fortuner may not be too impressive in pictures, but it definitely looks nice and mean in person.

Has anyone tried doing a styling like this? What do you guys think?

It will be 60% cheaper than wrapping the whole thing. It kind of has that Range Rover look.

(not my 4runner, but mine is similar. Thanks to whoever's this is)

First time I've seen anything like that, looks neat but seems like a great way to make your car cab hotter by wrapping it in black.

Get a quote for the wrap price. Put that amount of cash in an envelope in your closet. Go wheel the snot out of your silver rig and know you've got a reserve fund to undo all the pinstriping and trail damage that you're getting while you're out having fun.

I dunno. I have some sort of disability that doesn't allow me to appreciate non-functional modifications.

Which is probably in the same line of reasoning why so many Middle America men just wear Old Navy tshirts tucked into cargo shorts, socks and sandals, with fannie packs. :yo:

Meh...looks like the Highlander, which I like, but if I wanted a Highlander, I would have bought one (my wife did). Perhaps apropos to this thread, I was reading a Motor Trend article today, which reported a 4Runner redesign for the 2019 model year.

I kinda dig the back half, reminds me of the 1st Gen. But Im not sure it goes with the front end. Maybe with the "A" pillar in silver? I would have to see it in person.

I think it would be hard to get the lines right. But it could be interesting.

It's cool to see designs beyond what everyone else is doing though. I'd love to see someone just do the c-pillar.

I think this dual tone style could be in the line up for 2019. It's a trend other auto brands are going down including, Mini, Citroen, Renault...especially for the higher end aesthetic packages. That's why I wanted to see if anyone tried it with the 4runner.
