I have a 2004 Sport with a v6. Happened to come across the modification to remove the charcoal filter in the air intake today. My truck has 193,000 miles and has been low on power. I decided to do the mod and the test drive after removing the charcoal filter was AWSOME it drove like it did way back in the early days. Lots more power and quicker throttle response. Clearly 10 years and all the miles clogged up the filter and was severly restricting air flow.
