What is the significance of the different designations beneath members screen names?

There appears to be little rhyme or reason as to how they are distributed.

"Junior Member" is obvious but less clear are the differences between "Member," "Registered User" and "Senior Member"

From what I can tell by comparing number of posts, time since registering etc, there are no consistent criteria that differentiates one from another.

So what's the deal ?

Just a stab, but I think it goes off of number of posts. Takes 1000+ to hit "senior" status.

We used to be able to change them ourselves. Mine used to say Super Senior

Nope; there are members with > 2000 posts who are "Registered Users" just as there are members with way less than 1000 posts who are "Senior Members."

Does not seem to correlate with how long a member has been a member either :noidea:

How about revealing the mystery behind member category assignment.

Is it related to Join Date? I haven't checked, just another stab.

I don't understand why they took away the custom user titles either.
