question on mounting

I just picked up a pair of the these step bars on ebay with a rocker panel mount. They also offer a frame mount. Would it be worth the extra money to buy the frame mounts? I'm assuming the frame mounts will be stronger. Are the rocker panels up to the job?

Cleric, that would be great. It sounds like you've got the same 4runner like I've got on the way 2003 V8 4wd Jade Mica!

I too have considered these.....For those of you that have them, how do you like them? Do they help keep the mud out of the inside door panel? I currently have the stock boards and I can't say that I am crazy about the look. I do like the way the keep the inside of the door panel clean though.

I would not suggest these to anyone without grey cladding unless you have the silver rack on top and got them painted to match. The match to the cladding is really good, but not 100% in some light. Construction seems good, and not overpriced. So far the paint has held up well.

As far as mud in the door panels, I have not noticed a difference, but also have not been in a lot of mud. I doubt they would be as effective as the stock running boards.

FYI- I chose these because I am getting a lift and don't like the look of the stock boards on lifted Runners.

So are these frame mount, or do they just mount where the stock boards mount?
