Found a bug shield at my local Pep Boys last night.

Was looking for a bug deflector for a week now. Looked for either Lund or EGR based on the reviews found here. Auto part websies and Ebay were all around $80 shipped. Called my local Pep Boys yesterday, they had 1 made by Lund in stock for $39.99.
Putting it on was a snap, drove around up to 60mph, no noise at all, I am very happy with it. In addition to providing protection to my hood, it makes the fron of the Runner look more aggressive, IMHO.

I have the exact same one on my Runner. It looks real nice and it does not vibrate or hit the hood in the wind. The only disadvantage is that all of the dirt and bugs that would have gone onto your hood will now be directed at your windshield.

It's cheaper to replace your widshield than paint the edge of your hood every couple of years.

It's actually an AutoVentShade and not a Lund tho and I have the same one.
I like how it's away from the hood enough to clean behind and doesn't require the included bumpstops.

The installation instructions said Lund

I think Lund makes AVS.
I also like the fact that you don't need those little buffers on the hood.

This the Lund I had on my '97 and it stood too far away from the hood but was effective.
