Yeah, I've noticed that on my 99 Highlander, but I've never really used it for anything.

I have a little DIN cubbie below the radio with a lip, the phone fits in there and won't slide out.

It's a 1998+ upgrade if I'm not mistaken. Only found on the upgraded "sport seat" package in cloth. Us leather guys don't get the privilege.

I found those the first time I flipped the seats up.

For what it's worth, I've been poking around here for over two years, and had never seen a post about the seat pocket, so I figured I'd post it. Judging by the number of posts in this thread I'm obviously not the only one who didn't realize it was there. :shrug:

I knew that pocket was there, but it doesn't seem to have a whole lot of use. I guess it may have been good for maps when these trucks were new, but I don't think many people keep those state maps you pick up at the rest stops and welcome centers in their cars anymore with everyone having a smart phone.

Wet okele refers to it as a "sunglasses pocket". Seems a good use for it, though I like the flashlight idea.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust my sunglasses in there. I'd be afraid they'd get crunched or scratched. I do like the flashlight idea. I'm going to move mine there right now because I always end up digging through the console to find it. I also want to mount one of the fullsize mag-lites up front too.

Wasn't meant as an insult at all. Just poking fun with cob about a really old thread that is buried in the stickies somewhere...a handful of other guys stumbling across the same little features mentioned here.
