Loved my 5 speed, but wanted to start fresh with an LTD with e-locker and low(er) miles. Bought this with 85k on the odometer...

I guess this is a start to my build thread, as I made some progress over the last 2 weeks...

Supercharger Installed along with T-belt and H20pump (Thanks for the help, Jacob (ToyCrawlers, Colorado)

got my toytec Ultimate in with SCA UCAs, and the project began...

The most difficult part of this project was getting the upper b joint pressed out of the steering knuckle. What a beaver...

Not familiar with "SCA" UCA's, I only know of Light Racing and Total Chaos and Camburg, who makes the SCA?

Thanks

Gary

Great progress so far, what else do you have planned for this new 4runner?
I have given serious thought to getting a 2nd and selling mine one also, there's a lot I would do differently on a 2nd 4runner.

SPC Performance is the distributor or Parent company, not sure. But a nice sticker came in the box which reads "SPC Performance". They are indeed, the LR-25460 UCAs (Light Racing adjustable upper control arms)

Thanks guys. Not sure what is next. Of course, need to put on my 285 Terragrapplers tomorrow, but, done spending money for a while. Seriously considering the CBI rear bumper with swingout. And I am pretty set on the ARB front...Sliders and skidplates are also big on the list. Want to protect the investment.

Your "old" Runner was a great looking ride. The new one is coming along nicely. Look forward to seeing the progress!

Thanks, having a lot of fun with it. Just put on the Nitto TGPlers and its getting an alignment right now. Ill post a pic later...

Your rig is sweet man. That front tube bumper is sick. How much does it weigh?

That's gonna look great on there. Look forward to the pics.

Thanks. I'm really happy with the way it came out too. It's roughly 95 lbs.

This thread reminds me so much of my own thread for my '01, right down to the title.

Just like you I got a new 4Runner that would give me a better platform to start with, including the supercharger. My old 4Runner however, was not nearly as nice as your old one!!

You're off to a running start with the new one though, congrats on getting some major things out of the way. You ought to look into some fuel system upgrades for that supercharger while you're researching your future mods.

Thats really nice man. You literally just filled my top 5 spots as far as what I want . . . 1. black 2. Limited 3. Less than 100k miles 4. Supercharged 5. Adjustable suspension lift. Im super jealous! Looking forward to seeing what you turn it into.

I have basically the same ride, except a 2002. Hows the performance increase with the Supercharger? I really want to get one thrown on mine.

Huge. I can now get up the pass in a timely manner. Cruise at 70 mph with barely a foot on the gas. Instead of before, 3rd gear floored, 4000 rpm and 50 mph.. lol.

REally didnt get too slammed by the mpg's either, some tanks I actually got better mileage than before the SC. Others way worse... but its hard not to get on it when you have that extra power. If you drive it normally, it does pretty well.

Got the Nittos on. Almost tore my skis off the top going into my garage today... Gonna have to do a mod to my garage door .ha ha..

Not sure what you mean, but yeah, bought the supercharger from a dealership in Texas and had it shipped here to colorado.
I meant was that link that I posted the exact super charger you bought from craigslist? I noticed you were from colorado, and saw that SC posted the other day and was curious if it was the same one. Appears not though, since you bought from texas.

Actually found it on Ebay, paid a little more, but got the newest generation of SC. Also wanted a new in the box one so I could start the history fresh and KNow what i was getting.
