are you thinking this is the source of your oil light on and lack of power? ect? i dont think a crack in the valve cover would cause that, its a metal part, no sensors ect.... have you checked your oil level? how far have you driven it total sense the valve cover job?

Yeah I sealed it up with JB weld for a temporary fix and it fired up and drives like it should.

I only drive it a total of 1 and a half miles. I think I might have connected a connection that wasn't connected.

Edit: I'm dumb.

If it makes you feel better, my valve cover cracked in the same spot 2 years ago and the JB weld I put on it then is still holding great and no leaks.

Most people complain about working so far away and wish they worked closer. When in fact it's not that great for your vehicle to work closer as your liquids and oil don't reach their ideal temp. You can build up some gunk real quick!

Somehow I don't believe that is a stock VC bolt.

Glad you found the problem though.

Yeah it is a replacement. The others snapped and was another reason they were leaking.

So did you jb weld the piece back on or did you end up welding the cover to the head?

I'm not really sure what to say to that.

I guess no engine swap?

Mmm, I'm not sure.

Oh I normally walk to my ship, no sense in driving there. Unless I had something I needed to do after work. The reason I only drove it a mile and a half while it was doing this was to get to the auto port haha.

oh I thought it had broken off entirely. Then I was curious if you slathered JB weld All over like people seem to do and ended up "welding" the valve cover to the head.
