So I took the plunge today and order these Bushings from amazon. I was just wondering if anyone has ever used this brand before. The Reviews checked out and I am looking forward to installing them because I am having all kinds of issue with the drive with my T4R. I am hoping to accomplish getting the what I call HWY SWAY out of my RIG cause what I've notice is when it rains it is all kind of awful, u can deal with it when its dry but raining is just asking for it.... Anyone else done this and have there Sway GO away. I have searched and never really read where someone was successful in narrowing it down but its the only thing left to do.

Actually just finished replacing all of my bushings. It doesn't make it a F1 car but it helps tighten everything up a bit.

I would look at your mileage on your coils and shocks......also are you lifted at all?

I don't think the steering rack bushings are going to do much to help with what you are describing. I would thinking swaybar/link bushings would be a better bet.

welp I have replaced my entire front end and this is the only thing I haven't done. I did the sway bar last month being the last thing I've replaced. With the sway bar I just did new bushings and Link pins. Used factory upper and lower LBJ and went with Moog full Strut assemblies. No lifts. I was moving stuff around today when I came across the play in the bushing on the Rack which gave me the clue.

Is there play in your wheel? Does the truck shift left and right without the steering wheel moving? Have you checked the steering shaft? Usually the rack bushings will fix the thump you get in the steering column from time to time offroad or when finding that nice pothole on the highway. I check them using a pry bar to see if they have up/down or left/right deflection. If they have any they get replaced. I've used energy suspension bushing before and had very good results. They made an 83 ranger 4×4 feel like a brand new truck!

You can.get same set of wheelersoffroad. I have replaced mine with energy suspension bushing. It's little challange, for sure helped that my friend has a car lift. Theoretically our rack bushings aren't mean to be replaced. So this kit is $$$$ savier vs new rack.

Yes to the play in the steering wheel, Yes it shift left to right with the steering wheel moving very slightly. I just started chasing this down today when I found the rack Bushings had play, actually unhooked checking the steering shaft and was pretty pleased with it nice and tight(Cause I was thinking the same thing). Then when prying on the rack is when I found the play with the steering shaft unhooked.. Replace the inner and outer tie rods in Feb w/ alignment.
This sway is very slight and it occurs between 60-75 mph on the free way. I have taking it off road very little so can't really say that was the cause of it

Wow that totally on the other in of the spectrum haven't really thought about the rear found the rack issue and I was totally gun hole it was in the front

When the bushings loosen up and get old, the play in them allows the axle to 'walk' back and forth causing the sway. This is the kind of sway where you feel it rocking side to side. I would check all rear control arms and panhard bar for the condition of the bushings.
