I'm looking into upgrading my suspension and these seem to be a balance of cost effective and upgraded performance. I don't off road a ton, but would like to have more comfort on the road and improve handling. I can get this setup with front coilovers and rears with reservoirs for about $1,100. I wanted to see if anyone was running this setup and if they would recommend or not recommend it?

I've had their 2.0 rear shocks in the past, good cost to performance in my opinion. I can't comment on their 2.0 fronts, 2.5 fronts are certainly nice. I'd imagine the 2.0 would still be a signifisnt performance upgrade over stock. I may suggest not paying extra for remote reservoirs, especially if you're not off-roading much. Lots written online about it so you be the judge but I'd spend the money elsewhere.
Thanks! It comes out to be about 72 bucks per shock more for the reservoirs in the rear. As lame as it sounds, I do enjoy the look of them even if they are overkill. So you've paired the 2.5 with the 2.0 rears?
Just something else to keep in mind about those reservoirs, they are a great place for potential leaks. Seems like most people who end up with leaking shocks, they are leaking from the reservoir fittings. That's one of the main reasons I went without, that and they serve no purpose for any off-roading or driving I do.

Also wanted to chime in to say that I love my 2.5 front/2.0 rear non-res setup. They ride great and for the trails out here in CO I really had no need for an external reservoir.
They ride great on the road. Stiffer than stock but still plush over bigger bumps. Off road they've been pretty great on washboard type stuff and for wheeling the extended travel shocks have been great. Pair them with an after market upper control arm and you'd be good to go.

I may not need DSC but being able to tune how she rides is super important to me also..

That's a really good point. I'm sure it'd be great to be able to fine tune the compression and rebound all with a simple click. I know I love it on my mountain bike. Being able to cater to terrain is handy.
For my 4runner it was just one of those things where I couldn't really justify the cost of the upgraded setup.

Oh trust me I get it. lol. Which is why I am still stock for the time being but in the end I suppose I just need/want/have to have some sort of control over ride. Maybe I should contact Rockshox. :tea:
Even if you can only get them for the rear? The front's do not have that option.

I have remote resi Icon front and rear, with adjusters only on the front (bought them used from a guy who was upgrading to adjusters all around). It still works pretty well IMO but it's not the ideal setup. Better than no adjusters at all but I really wish I had all 4. Once I rebuild my setup I would have them add the adjusters to the rear.
I am on the fence as well. Definitely go with 2.5 up front with any setup you choose to buy though. And you don't need resis because you aren't bombing through whoops for an extended period of time. It does look quite nice though. I am looking at the 2.5 extended travel and 2.0 performance for rear.

Sorry to revive this thread, how do you like the 2.5 front and 2.0 rear?
I have the 2.5 front and 2.5RR in the rear. I have to get the rear rebuilt and valved, but was debating on jumping from the 2.5 rear to the 2.0 because the 2.5 only has 1-1.5 inch lift and I can get more from the 2.0. Is the ride quality that much different between the 2.5 rear and 2.0 rear?
