Fox Coil over front with ?? rear suspension

I wanted to get some opinions on the suspension I will be getting in the near future. I am looking for a suspension that can improve my ride and speed on rough dirt and muddy roads which receive minimal maintenance. Tires are 265/75/16 which fit fine stock and will be on for a while since they are really new.


Front:
Fox Racing- Tacoma 1996-2004 Front 0-3" KIT: Ø2.5 Coil/Over - Remote/ Reservoir 880-02-410-A (W/SPRINGS & HARDWARE)


I have a friend with Fox Racing Shocks that can get me a discount so that is why I going with them. Fox doesn’t normally deal with 4runners, but they say that the 96-04 Tacoma set will fit right in my 02 SR5 (w/ custom mount for remote reservoir) Is there any problem using the Taco set?

Rear:
The rear is still a question mark as I am not really sure what will work well with the Fox setup up front. Fox doesn’t know of any Taco or Tundra rear shocks that they make that fit a 02 4runner.

Throw on some 8wrap Land Cruiser coils and OEM Land Cruiser shocks for the rear. The part number for the shocks is 48531-69417

Right now I am thinking Rear Bilstein reservoir 5150 shocks ($279/pr) with LC coils.

I believe the Tundra coilovers won't work well because they are designed to lift a Tundra 0-3" which would be about a 2.5-5.5" lift on a 4runner. Anything over 3" is pushing the limits of your stock 4runner CVs so I would go for the ones made for the 4runner/Tacoma (which have the same front end). I don't know if the Tundra struts would even fit anyways (they may be too long and cause too much droop).

I just got some Tokico Trekmaster rear shocks (made as an OEM replacement for the rear of a '91-97 Landcruiser). I am very happy with them and got them brand new for $70 for the pair + $11 shipping. They might not last quite as long as the Billies, but they are a fraction of the price and ride very nice. They are also plenty long enough to accomodate any of the LC coils (7-9 wrap). Remember... use the front FJ80 coils in the rear of a 4runner, but the rear FJ80 shocks in the rear of a 4runner.

Does Toytec valve the 5150's different than any other company? I saw some online for close to 200 for the pair. I am interested in peoples opinions on the 5150 also.

I just found this thread, after messaging you about my 890's. Honestly, I'm wanting to sell the whole kit as set. Now, if I were you, I would look into what Downpour suggested and get some 8 wrap LC coils. You cauld also look into some LC stock replacement Monroe's off E-bay, which should give you a good ride. They'll be cheaper than the Billies, however, I'm told Billies ride exceptionnally well. Another option, is to try and find another set of Racing Shocks for the rear.......not sure where to get those those though.......
