frame bar for skid plate

I wanna put on the front skid plate but the frame bar is all bent up mostly in the middle took pictures would it be possible to bend the bar back enough so all the bolts bolt up or cut the bar and put a new one and tap the holes to bolt the frame anybody can spare any insight will help a lot thanks

You probably need to try and put it back in place. Or get one of junk yard vechile and weld it on.

Looks like that thing has been in an accident. The stock mount is ridiculously weak.

Do you think it will work if I get a jack and Jack it up where its Hanging low ? Will it mess anything up if I do it like thay

Let me know if you find out whats needed, I all but tore mine off last year so taking the skid plate off is now a hassle.

Imma try to just twist the metal hopefully I get it enough to line up the holes on the plate with the crossmember

Dude, cut the damn thing off, get some 1/4" c-channel, and weld a new one on there.

Once that thing is bent and tweaked like that, it's going to keep bending and tweaking.

This. Dont waste your time doing anything else. Its too flimsy to begin with so its not worth replacing with a junkyard piece that isnt going to line up perfect anyway after being welded in.

Yea he is right. It doesn't seem like a very hard job to fab up a custom support !

all late but i got a quarter inch angle channel and cut out my old bar
but its not gonna work. the channel sits to high up to reach the skid

im thinking either bolting brackets where they bolt together

or is there another metal bar you guys would recommend that droops down

maybe wield the bar so it hangs

or anyone have a idea feel free to post it
