I have an 02 SR5 with 108k on it, as per the east coast,( where algea grows on cars) the fram and just about all underneath is on its way out. Looking for a frame to build up and swap over body, which is super clean. and east coasters out there who can send me in the right direction.

Check the classified section to see if someone has a good frame from a part out. There's also a thread on here about a frame recall for our gens. Now, not sure what is going to come of the recall if anything.
Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market Should be able to get one for $700 or less.
I live at the end of an island, no such luck, found one in Virginia

Funny, well not actually. I just called my local dealer, gave them my VIN, and there is no recall against my VIN.
Did you give them your VIN number I assume? If not it makes me wonder if they thought you meant a Tacoma.

I just called the dealer, spoke to service manager," Hey, I was just wondering if this is a rumor, or if there is some fact to it. Is Toyota doing a frame recall in 2015?"
Dealer service manager " Well actualy there is, lets make an appointment to look and see if you need it"
Me, "Ok, next week, in the am works for me"
Dealer Service manager, " Hows Teusday at 9"

Good luck to you. You can call 800-331-4331 and find out for sure. A lot of us have been calling about this today, and so far you're the only one.
I called local dealer, not hotline. I will let you know on Tuesday

Like I said, good luck. I just spent 45 minutes on the phone with the US headquarters, and they said there is no recall in the books for our gen. Maybe you'll get lucky.

I made the same phone call a few years ago, they told me no recall as well. I delayed the problem another 15 years by buying a rust free truck from AZ.
. Good luck though.soooo, went to my appointment, go up to service desk. do the usual check in chat. then it comes, "and what are we doing for you today?" I speak, akward silence, service guy runs off. " I'm sorry, I don't see any open recalls on your truck". I explain, he runs off again. He comes back, We don't have anything from Toyota on that, I can look at your frame, but cant do anything. I explain why I came in the first place again, Turns out Riverhead Toyota has a service that picks up the line if it rings so many times, so I asked if they are told to say yes and schedule an appointment.
So in short, no there is no 4runner frame anything from Toyota.
