Frame Recall - In the making?

Hung out for a while today at the Toyota dealership where I used to wrench professionally. While I was there, a friend of mine was in the process of pulling the cab off of a 2007 FJ to be inspected by our regional field tech rep.The frame was terrible, holes everywhere. From what we understood, this is the first FJ to undergo a frame swap. This may be good news for rust belt owners in the near future. I know there has been a lot of speculation about recalling the 03-06 4Runners, but this will likely prove that the year range will span much further than expected.

The gears of the govt grind slowly. I had to scrap my '03 4runner with 180k this past summer due to holes in the frame and rusted out engine supports. Hope some people still able to run them if a frame recall goes into effect
