Freedom Off-Road

Just wanted to let you guys know of a company call Freedom Off-Road. I have not heard of this company nor seen many post about this company on this site and wanted to put my thoughts about them for others possibly looking for a less expensive alternative for suspension accessories. I have been looking for an adjustable track bar and came across this company on ebay. Before purchasing I did some research of the company. I saw many different post from other forums on Tacoma's, FJCrusier, Ford, GMs, Jeeps, and one on this site talking about UCAs or Coilovers. Honestly I was astonished by the amount of positive post coming from all the forums I saw. I did not see anything bad post about this company just positive post saying they hold up or people putting in their input about off brand companies. So I decided to bite the bullet and buy the Freedom Off-Road adjustable track bar.

Upon first impressions and inspection of this product it definitely had a quality feel, no defects on the paint, and the bushing looked good. Packaged very well and delivered very quickly. Didn't have an issue installing it, was also told that the threads for adjusting the track bar was pretty smooth, and feel really confident secure locking it in place with the jam nuts. For a $190 adjustable track bar I do not have second thoughts about this product.

Also decided to explore their website and saw that they have various other suspension parts from control arms to suspension lift like strut spacer, springs, or coilovers for a bunch of different models and brands. I am usually the one that tries to buy well known brand but I am starting to build trust in these smaller barely known brands. Judging by the quality of this adjustable track bar their other product is starting to look compaling

I know this is an old post but I've been vigorously searching for rear springs and this company has a set that's about $100 cheaper than emu did you ever end up getting other parts fom these guys?

Don't walk RUN away from their upper control arms. Freedom Off Road is nothing more than a warehouse that imports and sells Chinese products. That's not inherently bad - but they do not have any involvement in the product or knowledge about them. They pick out stuff on Alibaba and re-sell it to you. They can't even tell you what ball joint they use, or even what size it is. You can just order it on Alibaba yourself for a lot less. Same stuff but a lot cheaper.

I've had a set of the same ebay UCAs - and one of them broke within a few days. Save your $100 somewhere else. The cost of repairing the damage will easily put you in the red alone. If it had broken on the highway??? you get the idea. Gambling with a rear set of springs? go for it. Worst case they suck - probably do. But you're not going to kill someone. Don't roll the dice on mission critical parts like control arms.

Not to shit all over you, but I’ve read around 30 posts of people who have tried and had good experiences.

I don't dispute that the chinese factories could build decent stuff. Freedom Offraod knows nothing at all about what they are reselling though. They don't even have a shop. They just buy stuff from alibaba and resell it. So you're on your own once you buy it. And you'll never get a replacement ball joint because Freedom Offroad doesn't even know what ball joint it uses.

And the ultimate problem with the fly-by-night importer is that they don't have any quality assurances. And they don't know if batch 1 is the same as batch 2 or 3. The example is what happened with my ebay control arms. They failed almost immediately because the steel misalignment spacer parts were swapped for chromed aluminum.

If you want to take a chance on $50 UCAs - why not just buy some $50 UCAs directly from the source? No need to have Freedom Offroad as a middle man. You can buy them directly from the chinese factory. For about $50-100/set.

Thank you very much for the info! I should’ve added that I definitely would not buy them either. I hope people will see your comment when researching these.
