Fried something electrical :(

I was fixing my spotlight the other day and I accidentally touched to hot wires together... whoops. I had my battery disconnected until that point i needed to test the light. And of course that happens. Wires got really hot and ended up causing my Overhead lights and my clock to stop working. Problem is, I checked al my fuses and didn't find any blown ones. Any ideas?

worse case scenario is you blew some wires up and melted them. I know with fuses that shouldn't happen but sometimes it does. Happened in my parents mustang, melted the wires before it popped the fuses. Hope you find something though man

It should be fuse 10. Try a replacement. If that doesn't do it, check for continuity from the fuse panel to the non-working pieces. Per the previous post, you may have fried a wire. It's unlikely but possible.

Yup, you'll have to follow eachwire back and see if you can find where the source of the problem is. Sorry brother

Balls. I hate electrical stuff! I'm having bad luck today too, because i was at food city parking lot and one of the mount bolts on my slave cylinder broke off, and my clutch wouldn't engage. Drove 5 miles back to my dorm with no clutch somehow... gotta extract the bolt sometime :ybrick:

Centre punch it accurately and start drilling, slowly. I usually start with a 1/8" bit and work up slowly from there. Usually, you can collapse the bolt on itself before you get close to the threads.

If your punch mark is off, this is harder to do. You can use an 'easy out' but they rarely work for me. Use lots of penetrating spray, too. Liquid Wrench works well. Is the hole blind? If it is, be careful not to drill too deep.

reverse drill bit. works pretty good when i use them

Yea I just did it today, i just used a reverse drillbit to do it. Still upset about the electrical stuff tho. Me and my friend might take a look at the wiring harness sometime and trace those wires, wish me luck.
