Ok so this is really pointless but i have to say it cause it makes me laugh and i hope you do to.

So most of my friends have little 4banger rice burner cars or muscle cars and such. They are always hatin on my Poor old Runner... None like it. They think its slow heavy with no power... haha all i can do is laugh really. I just tell them when they wreck one day and they need pulled out dont call me cause my trucks a piece of shit. haha Does anyone have some other good comebacks to this?

I have the same friends they all have fast turbo cars and im the only truck and they all understand that i but they know its not fast and they really like my truck.

10:00pm

it was pooring rain here in kansas city, and i was hanging out with my friends with nnothing to do, so i get the bright idea to go find a field to go play in the mud in.


well we all cram in my rig and drive off, as i turn the corner of the woods where the field is with the mud road, there about 100 yrds down the road is a 2003 honda civic about 6 inches stuck in the mud!

so with my friends and my 4X4 RIG i drive out there no problem and roll down my window, it was 2 collage kids guy/girl (i wonder what they were going to do?) and they said there were there for about 10 min b4 i pulled up.

so i agreed to pull them out of this mud hole, i mean this shit was slick, slicker than snot! slicker than ice! FUN STUFF! but i left the tow roap at home, went back got it and my dad wanted to come along for the ride...... so we have like 8 guys cramed in my 1996 runner pulling this CIVIC out of the mud! no problem at all with power i put it in LO4 in reverse, no problem with power but traction was a bit rough since it was 6 inches of mud! i was sliding sideways down this slope, but hit flat ground and pulled this CIVIC about 100 yards back on to the assfalt...


now i have a question, how much would it have cost to get a tow truck to pull the poor collage kid out of the mud on a sat day night at 10:00 o'clock? A LOT OF $$$$$$


but my god that was a fun night!!! i still talk about it with my friend! and dude! you just have to show them how BAD ASS your truck is and they will understand!!! GOODLUCK!
 
yea it is offtopic but my friends all had trucks, jeeps, or suvs so they like mine!

now a few drive "sports" type cars and still like it and wish they could back to a bigger vehicle
 
I can see both sides of the coin here ... i love fast cars, i love being able to take corners at high speeds, but it sucks stacking groceries on your back seat because you have a trunk full of stereo and nitrous..... moral of the story buy one of each! :biggrin2:
 
Most of the time a 4Runner is invisible to cops and doesn't beg to get a ticket.

I do miss my '93 Eclipse GSX and it was a blast driving a lightweight sitff supensioned car like my friend's blown '00 Integra Type R but my Runner has a fun dimension of off roading on it's side and I don't get speeding tickets.

get a supercharger installed. i smoke lil rice burners on a regular basis...my truck is actually quite fast.

other than a s/c you can always poke fun at the size of their genitalia or abuse them with accusations of alternate life styles....

Yea that works too haha, But i just figured paybacks a *****.. Ill wait when they need something pulled or they need help getting pulled out of a ditch or something and they will regret making fun of the runner when i yank them out and keep on driving with their little 4banger dragging behind. :xnuts:

I've got friends that absolutely don't understand anything bigger than a 2 door civic. So far I've been called no less than 10 times to help them bring their big screen TV home from the store, move an apartment, go camping and load up my car...

I do think that my 4Runner is getting to be a bit much for just one person (me). Especially now with the gas prices I thought many times of downgrading to something like VW GTI... but I do appreciate all the space it provides in times of need and I don't really want any car payments right now.
