Hi everyone.

Had a blizzard here in Boston, and the plow went by n threw a chunk of ice at my front bumper, just to the left of the license plate. That lower cover that some people black-out is cracked, and the entire cover has some damage. I figure ill replace the whole thing.

I dont want some aftermarket job, no offense, it just does nothing for me.

Thinking of having the lower cover painted black and the rest done to the stock color.

What paint should i request for the black? I have the black TRD wheels, thought that’d be a good combo.

Thanks for your opinions.

Get your yrs black can't go wrong or flat black its front bumper stuff gonna hit all the time ! Just bought one from rockauto for 46$ shipping was 90$ !

Sooooo....no opinions on the paint choice? Just pissing on each other’s feet over the weather?:ybrick:

Is it the valence that’s damaged?

If so the black one isn’t very expensive. I think I paid $170... maybe less
It would be cheaper and better than painting it

Its cracked and the entire front bumper has been a little damage...but you can see it was pushed backwards ever so slightly. Id rather replace it and the support hardware.

Ive tried non-oem parts in the past and it caused headaches on my past 4runners.

Id like a flat-black valance, def.

Ok, here are some pics of the damage.

1st pic, clearly you see the damaged valance.

2nd pic. the space/gap you can see where the bumper cover meets the plastic piece under the hood area.

3rd pic, where the bumper meets the driver's quarter panel. I think its ok, but thought id get you guys' take.

Sorry the pics are big. Ever since Photobucket went south, I use Flickr and I'm not down with the lingo on the best way to share photos on T4R anymore.

Not sure what you mean by aftermarket job but this is my recommendation.
C4 Low pro
Also, I'd call the county or city and report damage from one of their trucks.

Are plows not responsible for the damage they cause?

I'd just go stock with the valence, unless you had plans to go to the Pro grill, in which case I would go with black. As for the bumper, it's really hard to tell from the photos how bad it looks... if it's barely noticeable then I'd let it ride, but if it's gonna bother you then I'd go oem bumper/stock color.

Edit: Just noticed that you intend on going black and are just asking about the correct black. I think that'll still look good!
