Sequoia and all TRD Pros will be available in Midnight Black Metallic, Super White, Magnetic Gray Metallic and the TRD Pro-exclusive Army Green.

Sequoia also leads the way for new features across the TRD Pro family for 2020… as each model adds upgraded multimedia systems that include Android Auto!

In fact all Sequoia, Tundra and 4Runners will also have Apple Carplay and Amazon Alexa compatibility.

For 2020, all grades of Sequoia will feature Smart Key with push-button start. Tundra and 4Runner will also receive this upgrade on select grades.

Tundra TRD Pro will now go beyond CrewMax ... as Double Cab will get added to the mix next model year.

Tundra CrewMax and Sequoia TRD Pros get standard premium JBL Audio with subwoofer and integrated navigation like 4Runner received last year.

4Runner TRD Pro and all 2020 4Runners will now come standard
with Toyota Safety Sense.

To complement the change, every 4Runner is fitted with a new instrument panel.

That means we now offer active safety systems STANDARD every single grade of our trucks and SUVs. What other full-line manufacturer can make that claim?

I do love the ventilated seats but do not like the synthetic leather. I love a sun roof but hated the seats enough to get an sr5 as my second 4runner. I have a Limited and did not want another.

I agree. A slight change in trim would create a greater number of sells.

My perspective is that what you see with the Tacoma, you will see with the 4Runner. Maybe a year later. I've been looking at the Hilux because I think it shows the future the best.

Precisely why I bought a 2019. None of this stuff appealed to me in the slightest. Higher price tag and more electronic gadgetry that can break. No thank you.

Last week in Las Vegas I was stunned at all the 4Runners in every parking lot I was in. Very popular auto there.

I interviewed a dealer on Centennial to see if they were right for my 4Runner.

Maybe it dates me, "synthetic leather" is just vinyl. Vinyl seats are sticky, hot in the summer, burning when the sun is on them and cold in the winter. Not nice at all. When heavily textured, or with a lot of holes they become better.

Unless full grain leather, all the split face painted leather used in autos is no better than vinyl as it doesn't breath well either.

I much prefer fabric seating because it breaths.

With the airbag seats, one should never add covers. What I have added is one of the sheepskins from Ikea. Just large enough to cover the back of the seat, without covering the side impact seat airbag area. Much more comfort in summer and winter. I think I paid something like $10 or $15 for each. Look good too. I tuck the top under the headrest to hold it in place.

What is it about the synthetic leather that you dont like?

To me, it is hot. I live in Phoenix and after a 10 minute test drive I was done. I don't want to use seat covers. Cloth is much cooler. Ventilated leather is best but leather does require maintenance.

I've had Softex and leather, and both have their advantages. Softex wore well over the 3 years I had it - yard work, dogs, road trips.... barely even a crease. With that said, it is not breathable at ALL and gets extremely hot in the summer time. Sitting down on a black softex seat in the summer = a sweaty back when you get out.

Leather has to be conditioned, but it's more breathable and with the ventilated feature, much more bearable in the summer.
