Recently purchased a 2000 4Runner and I am very excited to go pick it up from the dealership tomorrow.
I have previously driven 2 other autos: a 1996 Mazda 626 and a 1992 Oldsmobile Toronado. I bought my 4Runner because I need something that can handle the beat up country highways and ranch roads where I work. So I decided to ditch my Toronado in favor of something that can handle the conditions necessary for me to do my job. I needed something with more open interior space since I am living out of my car, and a I really needed something that can handle the dirt roads and the highways.
I searched around for trucks; full size, mid size and such, but had never thought about an SUV or anything like that. The other day I came across some Jeep Wranglers and went out the next day to see what was available. I saw a 4Runner and thought "now that looks sweet." Spent the day going from dealer to dealer and fell in love with the one I will be driving soon.
I knew quite a bit about my Mazda for an amatuer, which I had for 6 years. My Toronado was an inbetween vehicle, so I never knew it well.
I really want to learn the ins and outs of the 4Runner. I have checked out the forum a little bit but haven't gotten to all the threads. So if ya'll have any links or input that would be much appreciated. Thank you for reading.
