Ok so i have been having alot of problems with cv axles since ive lifted it particularly on the passenger side. Ive gone thru at least 4 axle from autozone either because they dont fit or they were missing pieces and one from advanced auto parts that didnt fit. Napa finally had one that worked. But was missing the dust shield that goes n the housing. But my most recent problem and im completely lost on is. This past sunday i was driving and all of a sudden i hear a "whistling" sound like air coming out of a tire. Then when it stopped it started to "whine" so immediately pulled over and once i got to a certain speed it stopped then i didnt drive anywhere til a friend trailered me home. Later that night i drain my front diff and the gear oil was bright green and watery. Looked just like antifreeze. I drove it on the trailer and backed it off the trailer and parked it at the house and didnt hear any noise then. Later that night i drain my front diff and the gear oil was bright green and watery. Looked just like antifreeze. Tuesday evening i tore it apart and replaced the seal n the housing and put a brand new axle in it. I put gear oil back in it and took it for a drive to see if i fixed it. But it had a really rough "knocking" like sound but i didnt drive far because i was afraid something would break. Can anyone tell me y my gear oil would be green and what would be the sound im hearing in my front diff?
