Front Blinking Light on 2005 Runner Keeps Going Out

After about five years, my first front blinker (on the driver side went out). I went out to a local Kragen and picked up the bulbs pictured below (bad iphone pic i know sorry). I replaced it and thought everything was good, but after just one day it went out again. Anybody know what else might be wrong? Anybody else experienced anything similar?

Note: I did notice that there was some charred/black material in the housing that holds the bulb that may cause the latest short.

Had similar experience in my '05. New bulb housing was the answer.

Where did you buy the new bulb housing? Do you happen to still have the part #? Also, did you have to cut wires and reconnect the new bulb housing?

Socket replaced

Looks like visiting John Elway Manhattan Beach Toyota and picking up the $14 part (although I see the part online for $7 plus shipping) was the right answer to my problem.

After driving around for 4 days without a front left blinking, I realized how annoying it is to have the fast blinker and also how annoying it must be to see an oncoming car not have blinkers on when they're intending on turning left.

It was a super easy replacement; just reach under the front bumper and twist off the bulb and socket. Good thing I still had one good 4157NA long life bulb.
