RR recently emailed me asking if I plan to order their kit, I held off emailing back until your saga was over. Not that I need to replace my fronts but I'm going to tell them no after the lack of support they gave you.

I’d say check out SOS performance. They have a clearance st40 kit available. Also Tom is really helpful every step of the way.

Well that piece that's towards the end of the SS line ought to go into that bracket I assume. That will keep the line fixed and out of harms way. It's funny, I wish my setup was like yours after dealing with all of this.

Nope, I went with what you originally suggested that I use. I actually even bought the 12" lines as a backup thinking the same thing. Had one end prebent on the line that I connected to the caliper and bent it as I went along to make it work the distance I had. I'm actually really happy with the results I ended up with.

My issues with RR-R is that they did not provide me with a kit that after this expense should have been completely PnP. Running into issues of the caliper bracket not mounting up and having to modify (and being told I don't know what I'm doing/talking about), to brake line fitting at the caliper being wrong, and finally, having to fabricate my own new brake line is all stuff that should have been ready to go out of the box. Documentation on this install is definitely not for the non-mechanically inclined even though for most that would tackle this it is straight-forward.

Actually the top does go to the upper bracket and there’s a lower piece that locks onto the lower bracket to keep the ss line from flailing about since it eliminates the lower hardline.

Hard to say which is better because the stoptech kit costs 800-1100 more than the Wilwood kit. I know a lot of Miata, RX7s, and BRZs that run wilwoods but they’re probably less custom than our application. I’m sure direct from manufacturer is much better.
