Front Brake part chewed and rusted

Hey all,
I am wondering on the front brakes/wheels there is an inner circle looks like a cover. I assume that it keeps stuff out of the rest of the CV area from the brakes.
Mine is all rusted, bent and pieces missing. I'd take a pic but I'm at work and all the tires on on the truck.
What is this part and can I get a replacement?
I also need to get new brakes etc. best recommendations?
I did search the threads but didn't find what I'm looking for or mine are so far gone they don't look like the ones here.

does it look like that? if so, that's just your splash shield and you're right - it just keeps out gunk. you could probably replace 'em, it's a 3-beer job i'd say.
