Front brake replacement '99 model

I have a question about a 99 4Runner 2WD 4Cyl. When changing out the brake rotors I understand that the caliper has to be removed. What I am confused about is if I have to remove the brake line from the caliper to have it moved out of the way? I have one of those Chilton manuals for this and it states that when removing the caliper to get to the rotor the "banjo" bolt must be removed and plugged so any fluid will not leak out. I figured it was just a flexible hose where I can just remove the caliper and hang it on something to keep the hoses from getting stretched?
Has anyone done this repair on their own before? Everything else looks simple.

Just neededing to replace pads, resurface rotor and put new wheel bearing in.

Solid brake line works its way down the frame to just above the caliper, and from there you will have flexible brake line that is necessary to allow the wheel assembly to bounce up and down and turn.

Meaning, you don't need to remove the caliper from the brake line. Nor should you. Unless you are replacing the caliper assembly, there is no reason to unhook the line. Doing so will just introduce air.

Usually you take a hanger or a bungie cord and "hang" the caliper assembly so it doesn't break/stress the components. I use a simple metal hanger and bend it to the length I need and hang the caliper off of some metal of the car. Anything but some plastic bit can support it. That way you can clean it, inspect it, assemble the new pads without worry.

Front caliper removal

Okay been reading more and more online and also in this Haynes manual and I am beginning to wonder.
To remove the brake caliper will I have to remove any tie-rods or stearing arms? I have a 2WD '99 4Runner. I see videos online where the ball joints have to be removed and tie-rods removed. Is all that necessary just to get that disc rotor off? I was thinking it was just removing the back 2 bolts toward bottom back of caliper and that was it..
Does anything else get "lossened" when removing the bottom 2 bolts that hold the caliper on?
I checked the vehicle out this evening and the solid brake lines go back to a bracket where it is a flexible line all the way back to the frame. So I am just thinking I need to remove that bracket to let the caliper lines swing freely once I get it removed from the wheel assy.
Not finding many picutres or videos out there on doing this.
