Front Brush Guard - installation

krosno3, have you noticed any added wind noise while driving since you added the front bar? I'm planning on getting the same ones too (WAAG though, front & rear).

No I haven't... However I've had it only for a week and since I live and work in the city, I don't drive more than 50 mph
I was also thinking about getting rear WAAG bar but I want to install reverse sensors to rear bumper and I think those sensors would not work properly because of it.
I'm glad there are more people who like those bars because I've seen all kind of different bars her but those for bumpers only....

Don't forget to post some pics when You install them..

As for people here, like Trance said You are right.. Many people drive old junks; so they don't care about other cars and it is a big problem. However I can't avoid parking on the streets so I have to live with it.. At least now they won't be able to scratch my front bumper anymore...:

I just found 2 pics of same kind of guard but in silver.It might be that it is painted. What is even more interesting, there is Westin name on it.
Maybe that guy put that name on it just for show or it is Westin guard. It is to late for me but I wonder how would it look like on Titanium???

I think that your guard looks a little better because it is smaller and I'm sure it gives good protection to the front bumper...

I just got the bumper guard and installed it yesterday. When shopping for front bumper guard, I made my choice between WAAG and Westin. Finally, decided to go with WAAG for the same reason you mentioned. I think the bumper guard you got from ebay is from Westin because the look and setup is exactly same as what I found on their website (http://www.westinautomotive.com/pages/westin bumper guards_apps-all.html#toyota). You are right...... They do make them. Also it is passible that somewhere I could find them in silver...

waag used to make the front runners in stainless silver. They stopped though. I was trying to get them months ago. Called just about everybody. Found only the rear guard in stainless. I guess the lady at waag said it was not a popular item in stainless so they stopped making it. But they might start again.

No not yet. I like the stainless look on the titanium. Those bull bars, I think, don't cover enough of the bumper. They look great, but I want a little more protection. I'm hoping that waag, or some other company, will start making the front runner in stainless agian.

Its funny how things come full circle, a few years ago I fell in love with the exact same bull bar along with the WAAG rear bumper guard. What a waste of my money, end it up selling it a few months ago for $200 for both of them, didn't like the way it looked anymore. If I had to do it all over again, I would wait for the up and comming ARB, now thats a real bumper guard.

I would love to just take my chances with not protecting the painted bumpers but most people in NJ park by sound and touch. It would only be a matter of time before the bumpers would look like shit. Also I have a Salsa Red Runner and all the trim (roof rack, running boards, etc) is black and I think the black WAAG guards would look pretty good with this color.

Kronos how heavy duty is that bumper guard? I think I've seen similar ones on ebay and it acts like the tubing is aluminum and not steel or stainless. Do you know which it is and also any idea of the Tubing OD and wall thickness??

I'm curious how the powdercoating on these guards holds up to light - if the black ever fades to dark grey (like alot of black exterior accessories do). Anyone have experience with that? I've seen it before with some of my jeep stuff, that's why I'm asking.

I just got a S/S bull bar with skid plate low bar 2.5" for $350 and a S/S single pipe rear bumper guard for $270. How does these prices sound to you? too high? i saw some on ebay for cheaper. any prices info will help. thank you!

Yanno... if you just forgo the bumper guard it's a good excuse to get an ARB / Shrockworks bumper/hitch mount once it gets a few dings... Wonder how that'd go with the wife...hrm......
