Hi All,
Wondering if someone can give me guidance on the following issue. I recently purchased a 2014 T4R Limited in August of 2014. It was a corporate demo with 5k on it from a dealership in another state. The discount was significant enough that it warranted me to take the drive down to the dealer to purchase. Everything was negotiated over the phone and i didn't see the car, other than photos sent to me, until i went to pick it up. It was pouring that day so i wasn't able to do as detailed of a walk-around as i would have liked to, but initial impression was that everything checked out. I noticed a week later that the section where the top part of the front bumper connects to each of the quarter panels flared out. I contacted the dealership and of course they pulled the, "the care was in perfect condition" routine. I brought it to the local dealership by me and they told me that it looks like both clips that attach the top part of the bumper to the quarter panels are broken and that i need a new bumper along with both quarter panels!!!! There is absolutely no sign of any impact damage to the front and when i asked how this could happen without any sign of impact all i got was " it doesn't take much to know these out of place". I gave up pursuing this as it's not a very noticeable defect but I've found a renewed sense of rectifying this situation...Only problem is that i'm not sure how to pursue this. I've taken it to a body shop twice and they haven't mentioned anything about the broken clips. All they did was take the bumper off and reattach it, which popped back out a few days later.
Anyone have an estimate of how much it would cost to replace?
