Front Cam oil seals replaced from inside

Has anyone replaced cam oil seals by removing valve covers instead of pulling the cam pullies?

Dealer said it was possible but I don't see how looking at it.

Your dealer isn't any smarter than the idiots behind the counter at your local NAPA.

Those dealer guys must've started their Memorial Day Weekend drinking early. Maybe they were thinking of the metal "half moon" plugs.

I'd be surprised if any dealer had any more than 20% of all SST offered on hand for repairs. When working flat rate, the faster the better applies often.

I don't see how it's possible either. The seal encompasses the cam. If you remove the whole cam, maybe but that's a lot more work. I bet he wasn't a master tech.
