I’m hoping to have mine done today. I’ll try to post some pics. Mines going to basically go right behind the Toyota emblem. There’s a member on this forum that did a little write up, I’ll see if I can find it

I'm using the same product as above.
Anytime Backup Camera + Front Camera
Also, the front camera was off Amazon. Went with two of these switches also.
Just follow the install instructions in his website and you're good to go.
Installed mine on the emblem but I have an after market bumper. You should be able to find somewhere else pretty easily I think, assuming it won't work with the stock bumper. There's a well known member on here I think who actually made it flush into the emblem.

The installer was super knowledgeable and ended up hooking up two front cameras for me. The cameras are $11 only!! from amazon and work really well for what they cost. Reason I wanted the second camera, is to mount it on the bottom of the truck so I can see the other side of a steep incline.

He had me run to a local vid/audio shop and picked up/installed a video relay to switch between both cameras
Thanks for the link ehcanadian. I had previously checked that out, but I guess the Limited grille is slightly different. I’ll work something out for the camera mounting.
I’m going to make up a switch with a relay like the briguy(?) setup. I have sourced both harnesses and need to break out the soldering iron.
I’ll post up some progress when some progress happens. Been reading a lot and it’s time to put the gathered knowledge to work!

They have Toyota Emblems with the camera emblem built right in- not expensive either. Look on Amazon

Fitment wise, I really didn't have to cut anything. I just had to make a hole for that bracket that came with the camera. Also just bent the bracket downwards a little too. I could be missing some large pieces that were purposely removed when I put on the Shrockworks bumper. I know I broke a clip off on accident. You can see it right under the camera.
The only cutting I really had to do was the bottom part of the emblem because it was blocking a lot of camera view. Still is a bit but it's not bad. It all actually worked out very well.

Awesome job. Looks great. How much view do you think you gained or lost with that aftermarket front bumper having the camera mounted there? Just trying to consider all things prior to mimicking this mod, having a sr5 grill and bumper. thx

Thanks! I'm not really sure if I gained or lost any view. I can see the bumper at the bottom of the screen but I like being able to see some of it to give me some idea of how I'm situated. I don't really see that as a loss. I could trim more of the bottom emblem if I really wanted to it. It's getting close to the chrome piece though.
Are you talking about keeping your stock bumper? You could mount it under the plastic piece under the emblem. I think you would get great views without anything in your way with it being there.

One Switch Solution: Validate?
Does the input coming FROM the reverse sensor have enough amperage/power to both signal the nav unit to display the camera input AND drive a relay? If so, is it 6V or 12V and any other relay specs & reverse sensor input specs I should know of?
I want to build a relay solution that only uses one switch. When the switch is closed/engaged, I want the camera input to be on and show the rear camera if the car is in reverse and shows the front camera otherwise. When the switch is open/disengaged I want everything to function normally (rear camera when in reverse). The idea is that I automatically switch between front and rear camera when getting into a tight parking spot.
I think the below diagram does that, but want someone smarter than me to validate

- Dashboard switch connected to a DPDT relay that's used for selecting from two camera sources
- The switch also provides power to the reverse sensor input on the nav unit, so when closed it triggers the input and displays video
- Between the switch and the video selector relay is a NC relay, which is activated (and opened) when the reverse sensor is sending. When open, it breaks the trigger to the DPDT relay and gets the rear camera to display
- The reverse sensor needs to have enough juice to due it's normal job of activating the Nav display AND powering the above relay to break the connection to the source selector relay

I ordered this kit to be able to switch between my rear camera and my rock camera. I made a custom bracket to mount a rock camera down low to get a good look at a drop off or rocks coming up.
I already have a Kenwood head unit and the Kenwood N520 dash cam which I can look at my headunit screen at anytime but the dashcam looking forward doesnt help to see obstacles under the vehicle coming up.
But also FYI the Kenwood 994S headunit Im using has both a front and rear camera input so you can view either one at anytime. But with my dashcam that integrates im already using that front input so why I ordered the anytime camera wire kit so now I can view from any of 3 cameras
