Front Coil Spacer?

Was in my front struts.
This goes right above the spring and stays within the strut spring area. This cause the spring to be hard and makes the ride stiff and gives a lift about 0.5 to 1 inches.

Anybody know what this is called?

A front lift spacer. They are better than the type of spacer that mounts on top of the shock/coil combo.

There isn't much difference between this type of spacer and raising the clip on an adjustable 5100.

Longer coils are the best way of lifting the front of our rigs.

I see. Feel like putting it back on. Only down side is, the front end of the truck is solid as a rock. It won't bounce! IS this normal?

I recently put a brush guard and I feel the front came down about 0.25 to 0.5 inches

Longer coil spring means increasing the spring tension?

Lift coils and longer shocks, to compensate for lift, will give you a much better ride. Read the sticky on lifts, it's posted at the top of the forum and very insightful on lifts, pros and cons of different lift methods, etc.

As basically mentioned already, you have preload spacers. Judging from the looks of those, they're a 2.5 - 3" spacer, so if you're only seeing 1/2 - 1" of lift, your springs are shot.

You will get almost twice as much list as the spacer is thick. The spacer may be fully maxing out the front shocks. This will give you that feeling.

dont put those back on they are pre loading your spring. you may as well weld your shock at the fully extened position..:lookout:
