Front corner bulbs keep going out

Apologies for the most boring thread ever, but I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with this before. The bulbs in each of my front corners keep going out on me, four bulbs lost in the last four months (two on each side). I wheel it a bit, but it doesn't seem to be happening while wheeling, although maybe I just don't notice. I'm getting really good a replacing them! Anyone else see this?

You should do the Tundra brake upgrade. It's all the rage.

No, seriously, is this a recent thing? Have you done any electrical mods that might have caused it?

The Tundra brake upgrade would certainly be more interesting.

I've installed some new audio equipment recently, but three of the four bulbs were lost prior to this update. Maybe I got a batch of really sucky bulbs at O'Reilly. Please, someone tell me that I should have gone OEM

The bulbs are cheap enough, just keep replacing them, if it really bothers you then just leave them burnt out lol.

Electrical gremlins are a pain in the ass to chase down. If nothing has changed recently that coincides with when this started happening, then I got nothing. I think I've had to replace my corner lights maybe twice in 12 years. On the positive side, that's a good looking dog in your avatar, so you've got that.

I guess I'll swap them out again, and someday getting around to tracking this down. Or not...

Get the PIAA ones on Amazon. While they are a bit more expensive, they are higher quality and PIAA will replace them within a year at no cost to you. I have them for my corners and still going strong over 9 months.

Going with those PIAA bulbs isn't a bad idea. Heck, if they are going to burn out might as well make somebody else replace them.

Electrical issues are a PITA. Just a lot of time spend looking and testing. I had a 1988 Mitsubishi Starion (yes it was badass and if you don't know the car Google it) and it just stopped running. Turns out there was a random wire than came in contact with bare metal and it rubbed the plastic casing off of it. Then when I had metal to metal contact the car was dead. My mechanic spent so much time looking for the problem he actually ended up feeling bad and only charged me around 1 hour of labor. Long story short, it's going to be a pain but it can be done if it bothers you that much.

Yep. With PIAA, if a bulb goes out, all you have to do is email or call them to setup the claim and then email a copy of the receipt. They will send out a PAIR of new bulbs without requiring the dead ones back.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll probably order up some PIAA's in the hope that they are more durable, since I could buy like 20 regular bulbs for that price!

Are they going out at the same time? Sounds like a short somewhere. Agree with all above who say that it will be a PITA to track an electrical gremlin down, but it's not impossible. Just start a process of elimination. If they're both going out at the same time, then you know it's not in the individual wiring to each bulb. Go from there.

Another bulb option would be LED bulbs from Vleds.com .

I've had them for about 6 months now and I haven't had any problems.
