Everything helo-mech said. Also, the FSM will tell you that you once you've removed the nuts holding the CV to the axle flange, you can slide the CV outboard, lower it to clear the studs, and then pull it out of the spindle.
The FSM is full of it.
If it doesn't work (actually, sometimes it does, but it didn't for me and I'm bitter about it

), you've got a couple options. You can remove the lower ball joint and pull the spindle outboard to make clearance, or you can pop the camber adjusting nuts to accomplish the same thing, or you can take a 4lb persuader to the studs on the axle flange and remove enough of them that the CV will slide past the others.
Whatever you choose to do, I strongly suggest that once the CVs are out, you also pull the axle shafts from the differential, pound
all those studs out, and either grind the splines off and reinstall them or replace them with grade 8 bolts. It'll make your next CV change so much easier...
