front D ring mounts

Fellas... check out Steve's site...

Shackle Hangers

They are a little pricey... but they look very well built.

Thanks man, but that entire thread I just posted was about getting cheaper ones because, let's be honest, who wants to dump $160 on some shackle mounts? We want a cheaper alternative.

They can be make cheaper and still very strong.

Looks like the brackets should drop the d-rings down further. If you start pulling on them from an upward angle, looks like that front bumper is going to be roughed up. No?

Ever notice the big ol cut out? That was where the big hook was... I guess there is only one.

Here's a pic of my old valance that I replaced:

That sounds cool, how much do you think a machine shop would want? just a ballpark...

looks to be about $20 bucks in material and maybe like 1-2 hours of machine time, the price the guy quoted above was pretty close to what any machine shop would charge,
Order Mild Steel 1018 Square in Small Quantities at OnlineMetals.com

i'm looking at the scale now and that seems rather small i dont think that's a 6 mm grid on there, if someone can figure out the scale i can do this. maybe 3/4 inch a grid? if you guys can tell me about how long they need to be i can figure out the height and width from that pic.

I got the drawings done and will make a set. I'll post what they look like. It really isn't much at all, just a few hours of work to do a few sets. Sorry it's been taking a while. I've been trying to free up time to get it done.

Yeah I bet they are. We all know Sonoaransteel makes them but the whole point of this thread is to try and get them for a cheaper price. Sorry if I come off as rude but we're all trying to save some money on mods :jump:

Legocken: Any word??? I'm dying to get some asap!

Alright. Sorry for the late posting.... work, family, and recent travel has kept me away from this. I'll make a few blanks up this week and have a working product to bolt onto my rig. I'll post pictures and have it up soon. After that, if everyone is happy with it, I'll produce more.
