Front defroster problem

Reviving an old thread but I’m having defroster problems in my newly acquired 2008 model. Air does not move to the dash when I press either the full defrost or the partial defrost with feet buttons. Neither light illuminates. All other modes appear to work fine.

I am having the same problem on my '03 limited! I am thinking it is the upper servo as mentioned during this thread. I have the dash half way apart and will be attempting to replace tomorrow (hopefully). I'll update as I go!

I agree with you. The upper servo controls where the air comes out. Are you by chance also having the occasional buzzing noise behind the glove box area? That accompanies this problem in many cases.

I’m able to select the location of airflow as long as it does not include one of the two defrost locations. The face, feet, and combination of the two still work and are selectable. Does the upper servo just control the windshield defrost or does it control all the airflow locations?
