Air mode servo help

I just replace my air mode servo and was extremely meticulous. The servo came in the dash position which was what I left mine at. I marked the wheel relative to the servo and the front arm so it would be timing correctly when reinstalling. I installed wheel fist and then attached the servo. I’m currently getting the following behavior:


Floor mode - defrost and floor
Floor and dash mode - defrost and floor
Dash mode - dash and a little defrost
Defrost mode - defrost and floor
Defrost and floor mode - defrost and floor not really a change from defrost

This doesn’t seem right and I have no idea which arm might be off.

Another member just recently had almost the same issue, I posted for him to try the following...

"That being said, I can't tell you which position the motor needs to be in to get it right...BUT what I would do is connect the actuator's electrical connector without it being installed then set the "mode" position of your choice at the switch which should put the motor in the correct position for that selection, then turn the fan/AC system on and manually move the "mode" door until the air comes out of the vents you have selected, that should then tell you the positions of both the motor and door."

He did the above and it fixed his issue, here's a link to the topic, he described him doing the fix a few posts later.....

Another member just recently had almost the same issue, I posted for him to try the following...

Ok I think I got it. I took a guess and it was the back one. The common denominator was stuck defrost and that looked the closest to the defrost vents. That lever is easy to get outside its track when mounting.
