Front Diff drop/Longer CV's

So I installed the Tundra/Bilstein Shocks and cranked them all the way up and got close to a 5" lift. I also installed LandBruiser front springs in the rear and got the same amount. I put in the toytec tapered diff drop kit and the CV's are slinging everywhere. Has anyone done this lift combo? Where can I find longer CV's or what can I do for the front diff besides the drop kit? Any mods available? Any and all help is appreciated.

I think you're the first person I've ever heard to try the TundraTRD coils on the top ring... that's a ton of lift, and I don't think the front suspension can handle that period. Max/best I've seen is 3" and then a body lift for clearing bigger tires... Do you need the full 5"?

Take your coilovers off, and install them on the correct notch. Problem solved, and you didn't even have to get new CV's. There are hundreds of thread on here telling you which perch to use. 3rd notch is the most you should go!

As everyone else has said, you're only going to run into problems with this combo. There simply isn't much you can do running that much lift to stop the CV boots from leaking. Even if that much lift might be nice for clearance or looks... it will only present problems.

I just want to know how bad it rides.

Longer CVs are not the way to fix it. If you want that much lift it needs to be suspension + body lift or a drop bracket lift.

Take a picture of your upper control arm/CV axle angle. I would love to see those angles.:scared:

^^ I would too lol

There are such a thing as long travel cv axles but this is not the solution to the problem you're having. The problem is your cv's are at too much of an angle due to the absurd height of lift you put on your rig. Like the above said, drop it down and if required, replace the boots on your cv axles or get new axles all together.

Do a little research next time. Tons of info regarding this lift setup. You would have seen that the top perch is far too much lift.

Best of luck!
