I need to know the gear ratio in my front diff of my truck an you know how to figure it out there is no plate on the diff to tell me and toyota can't tell me what it is without the plate
I don't understan it because it's saying I could be any of thoes gear ratios with that number I need to know the exact ratio not the 3 possible ones it could be

another way is by comparing the rpms at a given speed. assuming a 265/70r16 tire. keep in mind that some of these gear ratios are only available with certain combinations of tire sizes drive trains and engine options.
so at 60mph
3.73 = 1732rpm
3.90 = 1811rpm
4.10 = 1904rpm
4.30 = 1997rpm
4.56 = 2118rpm
Ok I think I figured it out with the combination of the door code and spin test door code was A03 and spin test came up with 4 revolutions for every 1 turn of the tires so I believe it's a 4.10
I spun the tire 10 times and calculated itOr it is 3.9. You can't really tell if you only spin the tire 4 times. Spin the tire 20 times and count the revolutions of the driveshaft. Approximations are ok for some things but not this case.
